LinkedIn recently launched two targeted marketing features; Target Updates and Follower Statistics. The tools will allow businesses with company profiles on the social network to pinpoint individuals and groups to receive special messages and updates. Target Updates allows for brands to send out messages based on job function, vertical, geography and employee seniority. Follower Statistics provide metrics that track follower engagement and demographic information. Companies like AT&T, Dell and Microsoft are already using the features, although general roll-out will take place in coming months. Read the article here.
